Amy Rush is the Clinical Programs Director at the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre. A Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Accredited Practising Dietitian with over a decade of specialist type 1 diabetes experience. Amy leads the design, development, and delivery of the Centre’s clinical programs.

Working at the Family Centre two days per week, Amy leads the design, development, and delivery of the Centre’s clinical programs and the development of new clinical pathways and professional training initiatives for health professionals across Australia. She also oversees and mentors our team of clinicians, ensuring our care remains person-centred, evidence-based, and consistent across all services.

Alongside her leadership role, Amy runs a busy three-day-per-week clinical practice, including regular telehealth clinics supporting people with type 1 diabetes nationwide. She manages all case types, including complex and comorbid presentations, and accepts referrals from GPs and other health professionals throughout Australia.

Amy is a sought-after speaker and contributor to professional education, regularly presenting at conferences and publishing on advances in diabetes technology, nutrition, and self-management.
