A new way to support and engage teens living with T1D

We know that adolescence is one of the hardest times to maintain engagement in diabetes care. BEEP is our new statewide youth initiative designed to help WA teens stay connected, informed, and supported outside the clinic.

WHAT IS BEEP?

BEEP is a place for teens to connect, explore, and make life with T1D make a bit more sense. It's where we bring everything together - tips, stories, recipes, real-life hacks, events, and things created by people who get it.

What BEEP offers:

  • A dedicated Teen Hub - a website with youth‑specific resources, upcoming programs, and a direct line to our BEEP youth team.

  • Teen‑only events to foster community, confidence, and peer connection.

TEEN EVENTS & RESOURCES

Parents, we've got youR BACK!

BEEP has been created to help teens living with type 1 diabetes build confidence, independence and a sense of control as they grow. Through practical tips, recipes, tools, events and connection with other teens who understand life with type 1, BEEP gives them a space that feels truly their own.

With social media becoming less accessible for many young people, BEEP helps fill that gap by providing a safe place for teens to stay connected, learn new skills and feel supported by a community that gets it.

The BEEP site is a member-only site, and not accessible by adults (sorry, teens only!). Parents and carers are always welcome to reach out to the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre team if they have any questions or would like to learn more.
