Schools' Education
Schools program

Our Schools' Education workshops cover the key areas of students' Diabetes Management and Action Plans in a practical, hands-on information session that builds knowledge, skills and confidence. This is not a general information session: at the Family Centre, we know that every student is different, and our workshops are individually tailored to meet their specific needs. Delivered by Alia Parker, the Family Centre's new Health Program Coordinator, who has two school-aged children with type 1 diabetes and over 20 years’ experience in the education and childcare sectors. The Family Centre’s Schools Education workshops will leave school staff well equipped to help their type 1 diabetic students to shine.
