Schools' Education

Our Schools' Education workshops cover the key areas of students' Diabetes Management and Action Plans in a practical, hands-on information session that builds knowledge, skills and confidence. This is not a general information session: at the Family Centre, we know that every student is different, and our workshops are individually tailored to meet their specific needs. Delivered by Registered Nurse and Diabetes Educator Lauren Haddow, who lives with type 1 diabetes, has a school-aged child with type 1, and as a former School Nurse knows diabetes in the school setting inside out. The Family Centre’s Schools Education workshops will leave school staff well equipped to help their type 1 diabetic students to shine.
