Ms. Iles brings an extensive background in driving innovation, growth, and transformation across diverse sectors, including the WA public health service and local government. She joins the Family Centre from national engineering consultancy Peritas, where she served as Chief Futures and People Officer. A recognised leader in her field, Ms. Iles has founded programs that foster innovation and inclusivity with the goal of tangibly enhancing people's lives.

Her appointment is driven by a deep personal connection to the cause.

"I am honoured to be appointed CEO and look forward to leading this vital organisation as it works to improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes across Australia,"
"Since my brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I have been searching for an opportunity to drive innovation in the support provided for this challenging and often misunderstood condition."

Ms. Iles’ appointment comes at a time of significant growth for the Family Centre. Chairperson Peter Bennett, CEO of Clough, welcomed her leadership.

"Jemma is a fantastic appointment for the Family Centre. Her background in healthcare innovation will be critical as we expand our efforts to ensure that no person living with type 1 diabetes faces this condition alone,"
"I am confident Jemma’s leadership will build on the Family Centre’s decade of extraordinary work and strengthen our mission to change lives across the country."

Mr. Bennett also paid tribute to outgoing CEO Benjamin Jardine, who led the organisation for the past three years.

"Benjamin has done an extraordinary job securing the future of the Family Centre. He was instrumental in securing our first-ever government funding as part of the WA State Government’s $10.4m commitment to diabetes support services"
"This work ensures our new CEO takes the reins of a strong, sustainable organisation, perfectly positioned to transform the lives of people impacted by type 1 diabetes."
