Psychology: Now more accessible than ever at the Family Centre!

Updated: Jun 25

The Family Centre has pioneered the delivery of type 1 diabetes specific psychology services and today we are excited to announce we're making this service more accessible than ever!

From 1 July 2024 we are delighted to be offering bulk billed psychology services with our own Registered Psychologist Natalia Hazell, to eligible people, with no out-of-pocket expense.

This service is available for people with type 1 diabetes, who hold a healthcare card, veterans’ card, or pension card along with a valid mental health care plan.

All other clients with a valid mental health care plan will incur a gap payment. Thanks to our generous donors and supporters we are delighted to be able to subsidise our service and keep this gap to a minimum (see pricing details below).

All clients with a mental health care plan will be able to access a Medicare rebate on psychology appointments with Nat. For new patents this will be on offer from 1 July, with existing clients having until 1 August to arrange a mental health care plan from their GP, to access the Medicare rebate.

Alternatively, for people without a GP care plan, many private health funds may now offer rebates for psychology services with Nat. Please check rebates with your health fund.

If you’d like to work with Nat to explore your thoughts, emotions, strengths, and feelings, make an appointment by contacting us on 08 9446 6446.

Virtual and face to face appointments are offered.
