About the event

We're launching type 1 specific group fitness classes at the Family Centre!

From Friday 27 October we’re hosting group fitness classes at the Family Centre, specially tailored for the type 1 tribe! We know that exercise can be a challenge when living with type 1. But we also know from personal experience that with planning and support, exercise is a great way to take control of type 1 and kick some life-changing fitness goals.

Our group fitness classes are run by the centre’s Exercise Physiologists, Anthony Walter and Jess Hukin. As people impacted by type 1, Anthony and Jess get what it’s like to exercise with type 1. They have developed an awesome type 1 friendly group fitness programme, with an approach that takes your individual fitness level into account!

Plus, what better way to conquer exercise than in a supportive and friendly group setting, alongside your type 1 tribe. So, whether you’re curious about exercise, or want to smash out a workout each fortnight, we’ve got some great options for you. Class sizes are capped at 12 people, so don’t delay, book today!

Coach's Motivation:

Throughout the class, a motivating coach guides participants, encouraging them to give their best effort at each station. Positive vibes only!
