South West T1D Family Meetup

Join us in Bunbury for a FREE, fun-filled gathering bringing together local families affected by type 1 diabetes.

For kids, it’s a chance to simply have fun with other kids who also happen to live with type 1. They can meet someone else wearing a pump or CGM, compare diabetes tech, make new friends and see that they’re far from the only one doing all the extra things that come with T1D.

And for parents, it’s an opportunity to meet other families who get it - to swap experiences, share stories and make connections with people navigating many of the same things.

There’ll be plenty happening across the event, including:

• 🤸🏻‍♂️ Parkour show and workshop

• 🏰 Bouncy castle

• 🏀 Basketball courts

• 🛹 Skate park

• 🌿 Lawn games

• 🍔 Food and drinks

And this gathering is just the beginning.

The event will also mark the launch of our peer support expansion into the South West.

We want it to become easier for people living with type 1 in the South West to find each other. We’ll be working with local champions to create more opportunities for people to get together socially, build friendships and support one another.

We’re starting in the South West, with plans to support locally led Type 1 communities in other regional areas in the future.

So come along, bring the family, meet some other Type 1 families and help us kick off a new chapter for the South West T1D community.
