PSYCHOLOGY

At the Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre, we recognise that mental wellbeing is just as important as physical wellbeing. In appreciation of this, we offer a mental health service to support people of all ages and, thanks to generous funding from the WA Department of Health, we also have a number of low-cost options for eligible clients.

If you're wanting to make some positive changes, but finding it difficult to stay motivated, we can help you explore the problems that are troubling you, and find your own reasons to change.

Our psychologists specialise in type 1 diabetes and are here to help individuals understand their thoughts, emotions, and strengths so that they reach their unique potential. The team take a flexible approach, and will work in ways that help you find constructive, positive ways to deal with the challenges of living with type 1.
