Meal Replacement Protein Smoothie

This smoothie includes proteins from real food - no protein powder required! It is low in carbohydrate and high in healthy fats, which help to slow the digestion and absorption of the proteins and keep you feeling full. As a bonus, this shake provides nearly half of your recommended calcium intake.

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

50 grams strawberries

½ cup cottage cheese

25 grams almonds

1 tsp vanilla essence

½ cup ice


Method

Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Kilojoules – 1498kj

Protein – 25.3 grams

Fat – 24.5 grams

Saturated fat – 5.4 grams

Carbohydrate – 6.8 grams

Fibre – 4.2 grams

Calcium – 478mg
