About the event
The Family Centre’s registered psychologist, Ana Mazzardis from Direction Psychology, can show them how. In an upcoming two-hour workshop, Ana will cover some of the most effective techniques to get them into the habit of thinking – and feeling – more positive.
They can learn how changing their mind(set) can change their life. Don’t worry about how they can STOP thinking negatively – help them swap it for thinking positively. This workshop can enhance their capacity to cope, build resilience, and help them regain a sense of control.
The cost of this two-hour, psychologist designed course is $80. It has been designed specifically with the type 1 community in mind, and aims to help participants:
· better identify times of mental and emotional struggle
· learn strategies that help cope with the challenges of life, especially those related to living with type 1
· connect with a network of peers experiencing similar issues
Much of the work will be individual and instruction based, but there will be opportunities to engage with others and reflect on shared themes and experiences. A workbook used in the seminar can be taken home as a reference to assist participants in implementing the strategies that have been covered.
